The highs - and the lows...
Do you ever have hours, days, weeks, or even more extended periods where you feel completely depleted? No matter how much coffee you drink, you can't get ahead - me too so I will share some helpful tips. I am no doctor or genius, but these things help me as a busy mom of four. I speak from experience when I say the longer you wait to do something about the lack of energy - the longer it will take you to get out of that slump you are in.
If you are struggling with a lack of motivation, try setting the timer for ten or twenty minutes - then returning to doing nothing. By repeating this cycle, you will accomplish more than simply doing nothing because you are feeling down and out. You could change your environment from your bed to the couch, then from the sofa to the kitchen. Otherwise, a nice walk outdoors usually perks me up if you are feeling adventurous!
If you feel overwhelmed, you could break any task into smaller, minute tasks that only take five to ten minutes to complete. By doing this, you will feel a sense of accomplishment, motivating you to achieve more. Another way to achieve this feeling is by making a daily-weekly-monthly to-do list that you can check things off on.
By learning to slow down and listen to your body instead of constantly thinking that you have a million things to do, you may achieve more than you had planned.
